Pastor Johnny's "Think About It!"

Think About It!

"If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes." (Luke 19:42 NASB)
What in our life is hiding God's peace from us? Do we even know what it is? For the Pharisees it was the "pride of tradition" disguised as religion. They didn't know who Jesus was because their pride had blinded them. What is blinding you? Hidden sin blinds the heart!

Think About It!

Being a Christian because you want to be blessed by God and go to heaven is the same as marrying someone for money. Some people want the benefits without the relationship!

Think About It!

We must be willing to give up our own convictions and traditional beliefs before God will lead us into the chambers of the knowledge of Himself. Our own convictions and beliefs keep us from knowing God the way He wants us to know Him.

Think About It!

Nothing wrong with loving the things God has put here on earth for us to enjoy... unless we love them more than we do Him! Cultivate your relationship with God. Our love for Him should be growing more everyday.

Think About It!

Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do. (John 14:11 NLT)
Some people can only believe God because of what He can do, they live for God because of an experience, a miracle, or something they want Him to do to prove He is God. They simply can't believe Him to be who He is, and what He has already done for them. They use Him and then forget about Him until they need Him again. People want His miracles.. "today." They don't know Him, and He doesn't know them either.
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.' (Matthew 7:21-23 NASB)
